Recycling Art 

Smiles Through Art was pleased to participate in an art program for Children’s Hospital of Las Californias - Hospital Infantil de las Californias a privately-funded hospital located in Tijuana, Mexico that works with children on both sides of the border: in the Baja California and San Diego County area.

As part of the “Down Syndrome Fair”  (Encuentro Síndrome de Down), children and adolescents with Down Syndrome participated in our art program “Recycling Art.” They used recycled materials like buttons, patches, fabrics, bedazzled jewelry and other materials, designing trendy fashion T-shirts. 

Smiles Through Art provides its services to organizations in the US and in Mexico, creating arts in healthcare programs that heal minds, increase self-esteem and creativity and improve positive health outcomes. 

Programs in Arts in healthcare are necessary for improving the well-being and creating positive minds. 

It brings joy and healing to adolescents and adults with different health conditions.
